Amazing views of the harbor and easy access to shopping and dining. The carriage rides started outaode our window and the Bluenose II is located there, too. You have to check in at the bar on the lower level and you are on your own from there. We didnt need any help, so it was perfect for us. We arrived Sunday afternoon for one night stay amd found parking nearby. Since it was Sunday we were able to leave our car in that spot. The room was clean, carper was a littlw worn, bathroom was very clean with great shower that was hot and had pressure. Linens were crisp and clean. We had room the HMS Rose Room, it had a queen and pullout bed. The pullout was comfortable.
Clean room, great location, reasonable price. Sure the rooms are slightly dated, but I found it to be charming.
Clean room, excellent service, the best views and ideal location to be able to explore the town of Lunenburg. Definitely more than worth the price. Cannot wait to return. The fact that you get to stay on a strip filled with restaurants and overlook the actual Blue Nose and gift shop is priceless. Every area of our room was clean and practical and the layout was really well thought-out. Family friendly is a bonus!
My experience was ok, I don’t get why everyone expects the hotel treatment in a small old town. If you get a right room the view is the prettiest and even if you don’t it’s alright. I actually liked going down to the restaurant for key and stuffs! It’s neat atmosphere which I definitely expected in Lunenburg. The location is just great, and their restaurant food is enjoyable. I had a good time!
The location is wonderful, right on the main strip. Parking might be challenging during high season but wasn't an issue in April. You'll likely need to carry your luggage up stairs - I've noticed that this is common throughout Nova Scotia. The rooms are a little small but it's got everything you need.
2 nights Apr 24 to 26 2025, Romance room, comfortable and clean great view, comfortable bed, needs at least one comfortable chair to sit in to enjoy view, Grand Banker restaurant for all meals while expensive food was great and good portions, staff friendly and experienced, kitchen should be very proud of the meals they put out, would stay here again and recommend to others Terry Barnett Dartmouth NS
If you are going to be checking in after hours be sure to call the day of and make arrangements. I called over a week in advance to ask if late check in would be ok and was told it would be. When I arrived at 11:30 pm I learned that the arrangements hadn't been made and I ended up having to wait for over 2 hours while the 3rd party service got ahold of someone to let me in. Once in the room was nice (shower in room 2 was a bit small) and the window and balcony offered a great view!
Great location, friendly staff, great food. Spent two nights here during our tour of Nova Scotia. Check-in was quick and easy. We ate dinner at the restaurant one night and the food was delicious. Our third floor room had a great view of the harbor. Was concerned if it would be loud at night being over a restaurant but the town shuts down by 10 and it was quiet. Loved sitting in the "reading" nook watching the harbor. We explored Peggy's Cove, Mahone Bay and Black Rock Lighthouse area as well as Lunenburg. Location and view can't be beat.
